Financial Aid

We are here to support you

2014 Seniors

We believe that every student deserves the opportunity to reach their potential. That is why we strive to make The Leelanau School affordable to any family who feels that it is the right fit for their child. Our goal is to help close the gap between the cost of the school and what a family can afford.

FINANCIAL AID PROCESS

In order to be considered for financial assistance, families must submit an application.

To make the financial aid application process easier for families, we have partnered with Independent School Management (ISM), FAST AID application. FAST calculates an estimated family contribution once the application is complete. This helps The Leelanau School Financial Aid Committee make fair and objective financial aid decisions.

There is ample space provided in this comprehensive application to share your unique financial situation with the committee. FAST provides 24/7/365 live customer service for families and is accessible in English, Spanish, French, or Hebrew.

Timeline

Financial Aid, Rolling Decisions & Entry Points
When to submit Financial Aid application:

For families interested in submitting a financial aid application, we encourage you to start and submit this along with your admission application. Should a student be recommended for admission, this will allow the financial aid committee to review and release a decision promptly.

Rolling Decisions & Entry Points:

Each school year traditionally starts in early September and ends in early June. We welcome applications year-round and work individually with families to construct a submission timeline that works best for them. While we release admission decisions on a rolling/on-going basis, students are admitted to traditional entry points. Examples at Leelanau:

  • Start of School Year, First Semester | Fall Term, September
  • Mid-Year | Winter Term, January
  • Second Semester | Spring Term, late February
  • With exception, we may accommodate other entry points. Please contact Rob Hansen to explore

We encourage families to inquire and promptly submit all application materials to ensure consideration for admission to the desired entry term. Although we have a rolling admission policy, enrollment may be limited by availability in specific grades or residential options.
